I’m Dassen Stemi Stephen, a private STEM tutor based in New York City. I hold an associate degree in engineering and am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at City College. I help students connect mathematical ideas, physical intuition, and practical problem solving.
My teaching approach starts with understanding how you think. We’ll identify the part that isn’t clicking, work through it together, and connect it to the bigger picture.

Instead of rushing through a list of answers, sessions focus on the ideas and decisions that make a solution work. Examples, guided practice, and your own explanations help reveal what you understand and what needs another look.

A class syllabus, recent quiz, practice test, or project idea gives us a useful starting point. We can review foundations, explore a difficult topic, or prepare a focused plan for an upcoming exam.
